India- again

India- that's the place i would like to visit....

I was asked to make a wokshop at the Botanic Garden of Szeged (29.07.- 01.08) and i was inspired by these rolls. I made a candelstick.

Again tiny things on the fridge

It is possible that i'm in love with our fridge - there is no other reason why i'm always thinking of making "fridge magnets".

The very first "spring" dinner at us

Chives

Cut everything into little pieces and mix it in a bowl with the sour cream and some salt. Put it into the fridge until the potatoes are ready.

Potatoes
Cheese
Onion
Sour cream
Salt
Butter
Water

Clean the little potatoes and cut them in half. Put them into a pan. Spread them with some water and put one or two spoons of butter on them. Blanket the pan and put it into the oven for 15 min.
After 15 minutes put grated cheese, salt, sour creame and cutted onion on it and bake it for 5 minutes.
When its ready put some dip on it.

Domestic bugs in the pots ...

We made some domestic bug at home - as we saw it at the craft workshop at the Móra Ferenc Museum.
We used nuts, yields, wooden sticks, dry pasta and gluegun. HAVE FUN! :D

Thanks for the museum and for its workers more than 200 children enjoyed the craft workshop and the butterfly exhibition.

LA LINEA on T-shirt

La linea - the cartoon which is an emblematic part of my childhood - on saturdays at 8.10 or 8.15 (of course pm) at my grandmas' house in the kitchen. The television had to warm up (it took cca. 20-30 minutes), so we turn it on and had supper than the tv came alive in just few seconds and i became enchanted.
That is my story and i'm looking foward to hear my sons' because he likes it as much as i did.
I drew La Linea on his T-shirts, on the green one the characters of his name appear as well (KOLOS).
I used t-shirt markers (orange and blue) the t-shirts were for 2 euros each.

Mothers day is coming

I used colored fab foams and sheets, a pen, glue stick, magnetic sticker, scossors, and a plastic dvd mask (you can find it in the roll packs).
The rhyme on it says:
"Who is holding me? Who is dandling me? I'd like to open my eyes but i cannot.
The World is melting but in the middle there is my mother - sitting- and me in her hands."

Treasure chest for kids

I made this treasure chest for the kids of my friend.
I used a wooden chest, green woodpaint, a brush and some wooden sticker.

Fish on the fridge

I used a special colored fab foam sheets, scissors, glue stick, plastic eyes (the are moving) and a sheet of a magnet (it was sticker on one side).
My favourite fish (of all) is this one and in the 70's we had a band in Hungary called Dolly Roll that reminds me of this fish so i call the fish "dollyrollfish".

I am not a talent of drawing but sometimes i take risks :)
I made big dominoes i used paper, crayons and i laminated the sheets to make them waterproof and lasting as well.

Garden in a basket

I made this small garden for my mother in law. She really liked it.
I bought a ceramic frog and some plants i found the basket on the street it was thrown away.
My kid really like to garden, so it was perfect to practice with small spit and rake.

and we drink wine in the summer (evenings)
Our finch had gone so i use his place as a special flowerpot.
I spend cca. 5 euro on decorations every year, and it looks like this - after 3 years.

The sea - making a sea and magical seaside

My kid hasn't met the sea yet. Hasn't seen it, hasn't tasted.
But in the bedtime stories he heard about it. With castles giants and everything of course.

Making some funny spring decoration

 

I used paints brushes some styropor balls and form and wooden sticks

During painting the balls i put the stick into a flowerpot (filled) so it was easier. 

Magnetic fridgething - the magnetic easter egg

Making puppets in 10 minutes - great to present the animals of old McDonalds'

I used some colored paper sheet sticky glue, some paper base roll of toliet papers and moving eyes. You can use
There is no need to use scissors making the pig and some other animals, so you can make it with kids age of 1 too.
I used a special sticky glue that is blue for first but after a few minutes it's colour desapears (for kids it is great to learn how to use sticky glue).

Handmade bookmark

You will need your kids, a sheet of a simple green paper of 110-160 gr (you can use any colour you like) a puncher (i used a christmas tree hole puncher), some cutted paper ornaments (i cutted out the figures of some wrapping paper) and sticky glue.
The kids like to punch as well as gluing and putting the ornaments onto the bookmark. If your kid is able to cut out the ornaments of the wrapping paper you will need scissors too.

Funniest pots of all - handmade canpot

You will need a can, some paint, a brush, some paper ornament (i used yellow stars) a plant (i used baobab plant because it is easy to take care of in a flat too although i can be a tree as i saw it in Catalunya) and of course the most importaint is to have two little hands to help.

 

My son helped me with the paintig (with brush and hands too) of course with placing the stars (gluing with sticky glue) and he did the watering at the end. You can make as many ornaments and colours as much you want and of course you can update it to be seasonable (for example:in the summer we put flower ornaments on it and i used green and pink colours).

Guarding angel

It is very comfortable for my son to know: some angels are taking care of him all the time. These angels are perfect guarding angels, have eyes like stars, so we can see their eyes in the sky.The first panic moment for my son was when the weather was foggy and he couldn't see any stars. 'Who will guard me during the night?' - he cried.

That was the moment when i started to make some little guarding angels that were hanged up at different points of the room until they found their place on our christmas tree (finally).

I used 3 wooden pearl, one of 1,6 mm and two smaller, a piece of golden string (30 cm), sticky glue and a piece of golden paper.

I cutted out a bit more than a quater of a circle of the golden paper. I made a tapered phyramid of it and glued it. I splited the string and i made a knot at the midpoint of the splited lenght.

I pulled it throught at the paper pyramid and i pulled throught the biger wooden pearl. too. This was the head and the rest of the string was the hook of the figure (above the head).

I sallowed the two little pearls on each stings (there were two of it after it had been splited) and i made knots at the end.
I drawed eyes and smiling mouths on their faces. They are the manifestation of our guarding angels.

Paint, cut, glue

This snowman figure is perfect to practice cutting and coloring (painting). When i was a child - maybe 3 - we used to play with paper dolls. It was great to dress them (there were some collections of paper clothes but we made new clothes on our own too).
So when i found this snowman on this site it was nostalgic and great moment. My son likes to cut with his own scissors. He cuts every paper nowdays, this figure was perfect to practice.
After coloring, painting, cutting, it was time to glue it (with sticky glue). We talked about how to dress and what to wear during making the snowman.
